The Wedding-Finally

Finally, finally, the wedding's set for tomorrow.

No, no, no, it's not me, it's my friend's.  I'm happy for her and I know she's been waiting for this to happen for years and it has come down to this, the walking on the aisle made true.

I'm also thankful that she also gave me the liberty to choose the design for my gown, which i know i kept bugging her on the details and design.  In spite of being busy with the prep, she also has the patience to spend time to see the details of my gown made perfect, (she took pity on me, when i reacted about the squid design, hehehe).

Best wishes to Lilibeth and Anthony, this time the journey of your lives is about to start a new chapter.  God bless your marriage and may you continue to have a fun and wonderful life together, filled with love, respect & laughter.  Cheers!  Nerd

The Europe Thing

Going to Europe is part of my dream.  This is considered to be one in my list just before i kicked the bucket (hope it doesn't happen soon)

I've been thinking about it again , but two things are holding me back: money (the main part) and company.  a friend of mine who has the means and time might be coming along.  However, deciding on what kind of trip we should take is also quite a challenge.  Joining a package tour, is convenient, with all the arrangements already made, we just need to think of ourselves and its already enough.  still being on a self tour can also be interesting cause we can find more time to explore the cities extensively based on our own time.  i just dont want to spend that kind of money then have the feeling of "bitin".

I hope it could happen this year or the next.  I'm now planning on how to proceed this trip.  God! now I'm kind of excited!

McCain -Palin ....Hmmnnnn?

Who would have thought?  After indelibly pointing out that Obama was not fit enough for the role of head of a nation due to inexperience, McCain's team  in dire need of an "Holy Cow" kind of publicity has chosen Sarah Palin, governor of Alaska to be his running mate.  The first woman Republican vice presidential candidate and with no hands on work on national matters. A very brave and eyebrow raising move by the Reds , to which i will be anticipating the debate between the politically perceptive Biden and the sudden globally reknown Palin.

I just hope Palin should stop using the line that women should vote for her because she is a woman.  Can't her advisers think of something else?

An Overstated Promotion

I haven't paid notice to the keynote address delivered by Obama in DNC 2004.  This is the one that nailed his name in the map of Democrats or rather the world.
Never knew how profound the effect of those words until now.
Reading the text as it flows to its  final  end has instigated a sort of strong faith in the unknown....Hope in the betterment of tomorrow.

Through his words, I have somehow forgotten how invincible one feels when optimism resides in one's heart.  Even far better , to be able to instill this in others and able to make a 180 degree turn in their lives  is like holding a prized panacea for all pains and suffering.

Though I am not an American and am unable to vote, I pray that on the 4th of November 2008, the people of the United States of America will make the right choice.  They are afterall the ones who have the right to choose who will lead their nation and also bring to the pedestal a man who can also change the state of the world.

A partial and over-recognized portion speech of Obama.....

Now even as we speak, there are those who are preparing to divide us, the spin masters, the negative ad peddlers who embrace the politics of anything goes. Well, I say to them tonight, there is not a liberal America and a conservative America - there is the United States of America. There is not a Black America and a White America and Latino America and Asian America - there's the United States of America.

The pundits, the pundits like to slice-and-dice our country into Red States and Blue States; Red States for Republicans, Blue States for Democrats. But I've got news for them, too. We worship an awesome God in the Blue States, and we don't like federal agents poking around in our libraries in the Red States. We coach Little League in the Blue States and yes, we've got some gay friends in the Red States. There are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq and there are patriots who supported the war in Iraq.
